Based in Geneva, Switzerland, we rely on a strong, close-knit team of 40 professionals drawn from throughout the energy sector and beyond. There is, after all, no substitute for expertise. Our focus is on selling energy (both renewable and non-renewable) to critical markets around the world. We also provide bespoke energy management services to customers active in various segments – commercial, government, industry. etc. – and pride ourselves on maintaining strong relationships with all of our contacts. This allows us to leverage market conditions to the benefit of both our customers and MitiGas – this is what has led to such rapid growth within a short time frame.

MPS has developed its own multi-tiered proprietary data management and calculation tool, the PowerTools Platform® (PTP), which we use to create applications that model business objects. Working in conjunction with data access and business logic layers, the purpose of these business objects is to replicate customer configurations and portfolios, which facilitates effective data management and accurate calculations, and paves the way to create a sustainable competitive advantage. A log is maintained at all times, ensuring business users always have a clear overview of calculations, versions and changes (ideal when conducting audits). Extremely quick and able to be configured according to specific businesses and cases, PTP has set new benchmarks in an industry in which it is notoriously difficult to do so.

MitiGas Power Management

As an authorised supplier of electricity from generation to end-use consumers (electricity retailing), MitiGas Power Management (MPM) is the first point of contact for major corporations and industrial customers in the market for electricity at competitive wholesale prices. The approach is simple: we procure energy directly from the wholesale market and sell it on to retail customers at a rate that reflects the price we paid for it. In other words, our customers have access to the wholesale market without having to be directly involved. All of the benefits, none of the drawbacks.

Our state-of-the-art online portal enables our customers to monitor local pricing – spikes, dips and consistent periods. This makes it simple to see when higher electricity consumption pays off (i.e. during troughs) and when it is more beneficial to reduce consumption (during peaks). This represents added value at a company’s fingertips, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We rely on a team of experienced professionals to seek out and work with a wide range of retail customers, including utility cooperatives and municipal utilities, independent power producers (IPP), renewable energy producers, load-serving entities (LSE) and demand/response stakeholders. We are licensed to provide our power management services in South America, the Middle East, China and Russia.

Note: this division does not supply residential customers or SMEs.
