Net Zero Emissions
We are striving to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions in a manner our customers can afford, our regulators will allow and technology advances support. Our approach centers around making reductions now, delivering on commitments to increase renewables, investing in transmission infrastructure, and using proven technologies while we continue to explore innovative ways to allow the use of existing fossil resources in a more carbon friendly way. Taken together, these actions advance a long-term sustainable energy future.

MitiGas : Leading by Example
Our businesses have committed to adding electric vehicles to our existing fleet. Beginning in 2021, all light-duty vehicle replacements or new purchases will be fully electric for passenger cars, and we will extend this to our fleet’s sport utility vehicles, minivans and light trucks starting in 2024 or as soon as commercially available. Plug-in hybrid options will be considered for specialized vehicles or uses for which we are unable to utilize a fully electric vehicle.
Paving the Way for Cleaner Air
Our operating companies – MitiGas power services, MitiGas strategic development & acquisitions and Mitigas energy solutions – are expanding EV charging infrastructure along major highways and demonstrating the merits of electric transportation to our customers by offering multi-faceted EV programs and rebates to customers who want to drive electric vehicles.

We will perform audits to evaluate our environmental compliance and use the results to improve our operations and impact on the environment.

We will foster open dialogue and informed decision-making through communication of environmental information with management, employees and the public. We will work with governments and others in creating responsible environmental laws and regulations reflective of sound public policy.
Training
We will provide the training necessary for our employees to meet their environmental responsibilities. We will encourage and provide opportunities for employees to learn more about the environment and foster an atmosphere of creating cost-effective solutions that go beyond compliance.
